I hope everyone enjoys the additional low heights of grass surrounding greens #3, #4 & #5. Just as we started to dry out from the melting snow and rains we had the previous few weeks we received 0.3" of rain last night. Fortunately, the forecast is for more dry weather most of week!
It is a beautiful day for our opening day on the golf course! Check out our new flags and flag sticks with the prism built right into the stick for your rangefinders!! Enjoy!
About 1.9 inches of rain fell here in Lake Winola yesterday and overnight on an already saturated golf course! This additional amount of rain is making is nearly impossible for my staff complete work on the course. Its currently snowing here! I'm looking forward to dry and warmer weather!
the areas which were covered this winter show a lush green versus the uncovered areas show dormant grass!
We removed the greens covers today and the greens look fantastic! We are also currently mowing them to remove the winter growth. Unfortunately, the golf course is saturated and not playable. Hopefully, we don't receive too much rain this week
