The course looks good in white but green is still my favorite color. The forecast is for more snow tonight so the course will remain closed until further notice.

Our rootzone mix is currently being made for our new practice green. It will be shipped next week from Salem, NJ.
Thank you to SCC Board of Director Member Phil Rozaieski for your assistance in helping complete this project of draining the water surrounding our new pro shop elsewhere. Phil was willing to grab a shovel and get right in the ditch!
The golf course will open daily at 11am beginning tomorrow. Please continue to watch for updates to whether or not the course is open as the weather changes in the next few weeks. Also, as a reminder if there is frost on the ground, the golf course is closed!!
Can anyone claim this ProV1x ???? What are the odds I cut through this golf ball stuck in the tree??? This was from the White Pine behind #1 Green
The above image is an Ash Tree under attack by the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). While hunting in the woods in Forkston Twp., I noticed several of the Ash trees being affected by the EAB. Unless the trees are treated with an insecticide, they will die. Fortunately, we only have a few Ash Trees on our golf course property located in the wooded section near our new pro shop.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We will be covering our greens on Wednesday December 2, 2015 and the golf course will be closed until further notice. I want to thank our membership, our Board of Directors and our staff for a great year! Happy Holidays to everyone! If you have any questions and comments, please don't hesitate!
I had to opportunity to go to GCSAA headquarters in Lawerence, Kansas earlier this week. I attended the Chapter Delegates meeting there on Tuesday 10/27 and Wednesday 10/28. It has been a few years since I have been there but it is always nice to get back to.
